I grew up with the classics (outside of Soul Train). I went from 106 and Park to TRL to Mnet Countdown. I’ve seen it all. Heard it all. (Or most of it). So naturally the Switch Discography is diverse.
Switch became extremely solidified for me by the time my parents blessed me with a Kindle Fire and opened my access to music that wasn’t The Dream, Destiny Child, Nicki Minaj, or The Black Eyed Peas. Pandora and iHeartRadio showcased me to a new world of music like Adele, Lady Sovereign, and SHINee. Now I am not going to ramble much, nor glorify a ton of secular music but it is part of my testimony so bare with moi.
Music clearly played a large role in the creation of Switch (which I will call them BFF for the rest of this blog). I got iHeartRadio in 2013, right before I briefly became a six grade drop out as my family transitioned from America to Southern Germany. As I kept in contact with a legit member of BFF that I actually knew in real life, I got to learn about all the worlds of music that wasn’t 2000s Hip-Hop and R&B because if I listen to Usher ‘Climax’ one more time, I think my brain might explode.
Now this is where we get into the discography page!!! Yes… I have a love hate relationship with the Discography of Switch. Which for legal reasons this is all fanfic, no-profit, all credits to respected owners and none of the songs have association to the TABs brand.
Anyways, the discography page is probably the most accurate choice of songs that I would describe the works of BFF over their reign.
Before we start, I want to make it very clear that the size of Switch had already existed before I even knew or hear of groups like Super Junior, Twice, and the J-Pop group Exile (gosh I forgot about these guys ngl. 2013 has been a long time ago has it…)
Also like to note that I do not cosign the majority of the secular music highlighted in these playlists. The playlists were made years ago and though some of the lyrics can be explicits or topics catering to a mature audience, I wanted to point out in advance the topic of being aware of what kind of music you are listening to or creating. It wasn’t till I matured in my faith that I realized the explicit music I was exposed to as a child and how insensitive the lyrics I sang aloud. This commentary will be explored later in the TABs installments.
Okay let's rank these joints…

This album ages like actual milk. The milk done turned sour and it got legit mold in it.
No literal shade to any artist featured in this playlist by the way. At one point of time before the Lord convicted me about my very ‘VERY’ expensive and rare collection of music records, I actually own the physical CD of Madame’s debut album “MADAME”. I even cut AND texturize my hair to match her style. Which it lasted for only a week before my hair went into a disgusting relaxer afro… In these rankings I am talking LORE ONLY. Not the music. The playlist music is there for the inspiration of sound. The lyrics featured are not even being taken into note.
Anyways, I call this album a bag of rotten milk because Lord knows Sammatha should not have made this album. I think everyone in BFF can agree that overtime they didn’t like the album. NOR did I enjoy writing the long… drag out scene of Sammatha’s Italian only interviews that took place during her concert. Which by the way if you hated that scene, then more power to you cause I skip it too when rereading volume two. I will get into the psychology of why I included it in another blog post but yeah. I don’t care for it.
Read Volume Four and Five, which they are no where near out but when it is out… read it. Then you will understand why.
I give the album -1000/10. I don’t care if the album won album of the year in Italy, Sammatha's intentions of this album was not needed. It was nothing but an out pour of insecurity and hatred to Kylie. But like she also made the album in under two months? Child anyways.

Dang… I know… But like hear me out.
We are speaking of what is canon to the story, not the actual songs featured.
Hand N’ Hand is genuinely forgettable. There was a reason why Kiss N’Tell had to come out. Hand N’ Hand was a flop and Volume Seven goes into detail of all the drama that happened during that particular era. All I know is that JV Girls were the only people to come on top for this album. Oh and of course Zachary and Carlos. I believe there is a blacklist song… which I don’t get into much in the books… I don’t know why but if its canon I will go more into detail. There is the apologize song. I think I will write a one shot about that instead of including it in volume seven because that book is literally over 400 pages long…
I give the album 2/10. Well it's 3/10 actually. L cover art by the way.

Tell me Carlos doesn't sound like Bruno Mars without telling me Carlos sounds like Bruno Mars…
No for real this solo album is insanely canon to the storyline of the once reigning lead singer of BFF. I won’t spoil too much but Carlos having the greatest fall from grace is so sad. Though Carlos featuring Kendrick on the album was a real nice touch, hence why the brother is not ranked at 20. The Golden Hour was an embarrassment to Brittany and he embarrassed her for fame and recognition. Yes there is the 2014 BFF World but that will be for another volume that has yet to come so for now…
I give the album a 3.1/10. I wish we could got another Carlos album but my dawg ruin his life prematurely. Wasted voice that went backup.

The covid years. RUNNN! Yikes. The literal playlist to this album is absolutely insane. Again I made these playlist years ago. I had no business listening to PRETTY RICKY… Good God… Now you might be like Paris, isn’t this a Christian Fiction? Yes. It is. It's also like Daddy Yankee testimony. Yes he is a follower of Christ but he is still the guy who sang Gasolina. That can’t just be erase. That is what the Sex, Money, Feelings All Have Die album is. Its BFF’s Gasolina album.
I wish I genuinely documented this era. So much had happen from the revival of Valen and Jackson relationship to the point that Jackson got all access to the BFF House. There was a pretty emotional breakdown between Sammatha and Leo. OMG the notoriously infamous blacklist by Cameron - Lonely. (I Get Lonely by Janet Jackson is like the inspo from it). I won’t spoil that but its actually quoted as one of the many blacklisted song Jean banned from every being performed.
It the start of the whole Jean and Cameron insecurity storyline that comes up in volume one with the show Jean did. Yeah It goes back this far.
This is also the album where The Switch Experience started. Without the ability to tour, BFF created a live stream show in their newly built black box studio that is located off the side of the BFF house.
I like to note that yes. There is a handful of french songs. In the original album, the songs are actually in different languages but they sounded similar to the ones featured. I think the languages featured was Spanish, French, Korean, and Japanese.
4.5/10. I can’t stand some of the songs feature but I will live and you will too…

What an actual forgettable time of Switch history. This album takes place after all the dumpster fire stuff of 2014. All I will say is alot of people in BFF got together. LIKE OVER HALF THE GROUP is literally dating at this point minus a few like seven people. You get Zachary's most famous song Losing (Which sounds similar to Justin Timberlakes’ “Hello my name is Bob and work at my job” aka - Losing My Way.)
Brionna is still lead singer during this era which she has a very complicated storyline and its a very dark storyline at that. Jean reigns heavy this era as Leo is taking a major backseat from the limelight. Yet somehow we get a powerhouse couple of Lily and Simon? Probably because of all that screentime they got on this album. Despite all of that 2015 Under the Impression album is okay.
4.5/10 because why is Days in the Sun in this???? HUH? I’m sure I put it in there for a reason but I’m mad confused. Let's just say they got featured on sum knockoff soundtrack… Yeah we will run with that for now.

Does Brittany sound like Mariah Carey or does Mariah Carey sound like Brittany? I think its a trick question. This being ranked at 15 is tough but it's okay. It kinda weird how Carlos solo album outperforms Brittany Precipitation because I argue Brittany had better range but not everyone wants to listen to a “Brittany Ballad” which is fair enough. Within the volumes, it is often concerned by members if Brittany ever wants to perform a song from this album. Mainly because the album is full of high tones that Brittany “sometimes can’t reach”. Though if you make her emotional she will hit them flawlessly according to Xan’s twisted notes.
Solid 5/10 can’t go wrong with this album.

Released during volume one, Simpler Days is one of the few mini album I will actually mention in the Switch Discography. It is an extension to BFF's later 2023 album “I Know Something You Don’t Know” and its fine. Its group heavy and it does not include the beloved or infamous lead singer Zachary Dion nor Jordyn as they have their hiatus during this release. Minus their absence, I think Switch does a really great job performing this album out of all there other post-Covid (2020) musical releases. Mainly because they perform most of the Simpler Days songs on The Switch Experience live stream.

I know… I know… But hear me out. There are much better albums ahead of Around The World Part I, and a lot more works that’s worst than Around the World Part I. Being the first multi-language album released by the group, it's impressive at its core. The only con I have with this album according to the lore of BFF is that the group was nowhere near ready to record a multi-language album nor tour with these songs. Therefore I feel like this album didn’t get as much justice as it could have had it been released seven or even eight years later. I would like to note that Varsity Guys and Maknae Line Boys own this album. They put their foot into this one. Suck that the group didn’t make a dime off this album…
6.5/10

Why did Simon release a French album instead of a German one? Rebel against his sister Jordyn mainly. I will eventually get into the lore about why Simon raps in French instead of German in one of the volumes. Simon gracefully becomes one the best songwriters in BFF and is a famous underground ghost writer for most of the music industry. Most singers don’t even know that their top hits are by Simon. That’s how top secret he is. Volume Seven explains how that came together so I will spare you the spoilers. I like to note that my only con to this album is that it falls under the 2022 volume one drama. To this day I still don’t know why Simon got feelings for Saige. I also think that Lily having a heavy contribution to this album with her French background is so backwards. Twisted I call it.
6.75/10

Does Romeo and Brionna sound like TV Girl or does TV Girls sound like Romeo and Brionna?
I find it funny how these two release a whole EP together despite Brionna's desire to retire from the limelight. I think this album was a power trip for Romeo for I don’t think anyone thought Romeo would be lead singer for a near decade! The fact he never got dethroned needs to be studied. I also don’t like how the songs are lowkey an expose track of the group. It definitely broke a couple of BFF codes and violations but because it “sounds good..”
The 70s look is a vibe so I will get it a 7/10.

How Simon convinced Romeo to sing with him on a love song about Saige while his best friend Theo still had feelings for Saige is beyond me. I think every member of BFF was beyond shock to see how well produce Simon’s debut solo album came together. He had barely any help with recording and no one from the Leader Line assisted him. I recommend you read the mini 2022 lost file about Simon revealing this album to Rap Line. Has some great context to this album.
Will like to note, Simon's transition from rap to rock was so tea because I really feel like he found his sound outside of the group or his sub-unit image. Also Jean helping with the guitar notes… It challenged some of the members to think more broadly. That I can respect despite of Simon’s ill-intentions of producing the hit album.
8/10. The album was so good. He did his own solo stadium show. A couple of times.

The Duo Line album that turned into a Dice solo album…Now does Dice sound like The Weeknd or does The Weeknd sound like Dice? I have an answer actually. Dice does not sound like The Weeknd. I argue he sounds more like Craig David than The Weeknd. Also don’t quote me but I think this is Lisa’s album. It is her work.
I genuinely forgot the lore of this album production. Sorry bud but we obviously see what happened in the aftermath of the album in Volume One.
I will say I know Dice is not very keen to this album later in the series because in part of his testimony he actually dealt with a lot of public and personal shame during the 2021 era. I mean the guy was bookmark as the rather bold member who would make out with Rebecca on arena stages. I mean the two were sex addicts for a point of BFF history so I can see how it was a hard point in his life and in Rebecca’s as well.
Now the reason why Solo About It is ranked #9 is because of Volume Four and Five. Yes I know as of November 2025, that joint is nowhere near out. I will only say that Dice and Toran (who has more of a production role in the album) are considered underrated singers in Switch so I am glad they were pitied into getting an album of their own.
8.2/10

Rank 8th for its ugly cover art. Rank 8th because there was some dumb bidding war to get on the ugly album cover. From Volume Two, I won’t spoil much. I will only say that I like how BFF tries (heavy on tries) to shift away from their post-covid 2020 (Sex Money Feelings All Have Die) album sound. With the dedication to living for Christ from Volume Two, the group's efforts to clean up their once secular sound is acknowledged. B+ for effort because it is kinda unrealistic for Switch (in under two-three months) to fully commit themselves as some Christian Contemporary Group overnight.
8.5/10

The lore to this album is so messed up. The group was in such a shamble. Everyone was pretty much either two faced or just straight up lying to each other. Sub-units weren’t getting along. It was badddddddd. Yet BFF or Switch won WAYYYY too many awards for this album. I call this the prodigal album because I think BFF had to hit rock bottom mentally and emotionally before they truly came to a universal understanding that they needed Jesus in their life.
Also Leo beating Jean as Rap Lead for this album is actually insane. I genuinely don’t know how he did it to this day. Meanwhile Theo was having way too many solos. Read Volume Seven when it comes out to see why that even exists in the first place. In addition, my boy Maxwell got his lead singer moment very briefly because Jermany wanted to sit out on a “cheesy” song that became the group’s triple diamond 2021 anthem. Allegedly sounds similar, in a non-copyright-plagiarism way, to “The Sylvers - Hot Line”. Allegedly. I think the iPads kids made it go too viral on TicTac (which follow us Tiktok @thearchivesofbff, if it still exists in your area).
8.5/10. Solid album. Especially Sammatha and Cameron's duet song . Listen to a song that allegedly sounds like Keyshia Cole “Trust” to see what I’m talking about. I think it ended up being a blacklist song. I mean you read about those two relationships with Leo and Jean. One day, God willing, I will write a volume for 2021.

The notorious most-banned-song album. 14 BLACKLIST SONGS! Loved by fans, yet restricted to hear it live. I blame BFF World ‘14. That will probably be in Volume 8 which is not even written minus the few 2014 lost files on the site. Now there is the eras page. Check that out to see a quick overview of the year. It's not much but trust me, a lot went down.
Why so many blacklist songs? Well many of the members during the tour season wanted the Part II album to be their little diary and let's just say when everyone in the group heard each other’s song for the first time live… People got offended really quickly. Jermany often quotes this album as his favorite collection of songs that he will never get to perform.
9/10 because everyone ate and this album (especially All Girls) had the most unique lead singers in the line up: Zachary, Romeo, Brionna, and Mia. I feel though Mia's work gets too overshadowed unfortunately because of how unperformable this album is. Also too bad, their 2015 album didn’t live up this standard.

“I didn’t know Theo was in Switch.” It came from this album. No spoilers for this album because I go into detail about it in volume seven. Listen to “Right Here” by Justin Bieber because it allegedly sounds like Theo and Jean’s little song… ALLEDEGLY! Allegedly. For legal reason it doesn’t.
9.2/10. Why is Kiss N’Tell rank so high? Read volume seven when it comes out! It explains everything you need to know.

BFF first independent album outside of Ex-S Record after their long and awaited hiatus.
I rank this album at #4 because according to the lore of TABs, this album was the hardest album for the group to produce, distribute, and promote… The group went into so much debt to get this album made and it came through. Also this album was produced at the Miami house which caused a chain reaction to going to Miami to make music instead of staying in New York all the time. You can preview some of this album in the Lost Files (2017-2018) if there is anything available. By the way I can’t add too many at the moment because there is a cap on how many web pages I can make. So do bare with me until I find a better viewing solution…unless y’all want to go to Wattpad or sum.

Two people who don’t like each other, make an album together because they got the biggest fandoms. That’s this album. Despite being in a domestically violent (very toxic) relationship, according to BFF lore, this was the most successful non-group album ever. Won way too many VVMAs for anyone liking. This album was very transitional in Switch history because Cameron became Lead singer during this era. More lore will be in Volume X: Craze Rave. That will either be a full 400+ book or under 200 pages.
A very key album to the two testimonies because Cameron and Jean had a very unhealthy trauma bonding relationship.
9.7/10.

The classic album. Ex-S Record calls BFF's debut album a flop yet millions of people auditioned for second wave. Okay. This album highlights the innocent era of BFF before all the toxicity, drugs, abuse, mental health and other problems enter the chatroom. Only reason why it is not rank #1 is because only First Wave is in this album. That means no Duo Line, Maknae, half of JV, LeeSung, Xan and Lisa… Nowhere to be found.
10/10

Lore wise obviously not by the content in the Youtube Music Playlist, this album ranking is a no brainer. Summer Love put BFF or Switch to the public as the official number group of the world. Think the best 2016 songs mixed with America’s Best Dance Crew (ABDC) choreography. Will say, I nowhere near agree with most of the songs featured on this playlist, I made it years ago and I’ll try to leave it as is cause I don’t want to tamper with the authenticity of the inspo sound of Switch.
Only sad thing is that Kylie is not in this album. Poor thang got kicked out of Switch before she could record her lines. I do include some 2016 lore in volume 2 and again Volume X: Craze Rave goes into more detail of the success of this album. BFF became an Ex-S Records industry cash cow and of course we all know what happened next. Also Junior was born during this era.
Lore wise, not content wise, 1000/10. Summer Love was indeed the Switch top album ever. Still was a successful chart topping group after going independent but nothing will compare to the peak career they got when signed under Ex-S Records. Though if it weren’t for Leaders Line who knows what would happen to Switch. Also had Switch stayed with Ex-S Records, we would have had some new members. The infamous third wave… and all its controversies.

Honorable mentions are LeeSung 2016 album, Trio Line Mini album that I keep forgetting about, and all of Zachary's miscellaneous singles that he would spit out through the years.
BUT WAIT! There is one album from Switch that actually beats all of their works by a landslide… It is from after Volume Five. It was actually released post-interview, Switch 14th Studio Album. The question that everyone has though is… is it their final album or is there more to come.
