Jordin reveals in a testimonial video from 2017, “Before giving my heart fully to God, my life and my heart was only have in it. It was lukewarm [...] I believe I would be happy if I continue to do the norm that a Christian should do. Go to church, read the Bible, be good to other people. And [I] was successful in my music and devoted in my romantic relationships.”

WIth a hard working and overpouring spirit to her career and romantic relationships, Jordin revealed in her testimony that she began to feel like a zombie and lost sight in who she was create to be.

“My belief about God was that he was this big creator and you know ruled over everything but that he wasn’t with me or near me. It wasn’t until I was completely broken and torn that Jesus poured his love on me on Easter and that I began to completely surrender to God with my life. I finally decided to renew my relation ship [with Christ] and I couldn’t help myself, at church Easter 2016, I proceeded to weep and ask for prayer over me. For Jesus to forgive and heal all the pain I was feeling.”

Sparks reveal that after her rededication, she didn’t the former things as her ultimate source of happiness but found joy with the Lord Jesus Christ. She found a zeal to seek, obey, and build up her relationship with Christ.  In her old life, Sparks found comfort in her former identity and success in music. With a former heart of boasting in her worldly accomplishment, revival shaped Jordin heart to spend her time less on music but in Matthew 6;33, seeking the kingdom of God.

“My life has changed dramatically and though I may still struggle with many things, they’re getting better and I’m different in so many ways such as having a piece that I’ve never had before in my entire life and a joy that nobody can take away.”
