The ride back to the main house was rather uncomfortable. This was because Xan’s vomit had baked itself a cake inside Lisa’s purse. Because of this, we had to travel with the windows down. Luckily no fan recognize us and follow us home.
“We are here,” David said trying to stay calm and collective.
“Praise the Lord,” Lisa said covering her nose.
After parking in the driveway, Lisa shook Xan awake. His glasses were halfway on and hair was all over the place.
“Are we here?” Xan grumbled.
“More than ever. You also need to clean out my car,” David pleaded.
“How about I pay someone to clean it,” Xan suggest.

David shook his head in disagreement.
“I want Alexander Oliveira to get on his knees and clean his vomit up. Pat not rub.”
Xan looked towards me to see if I would defend him.

“You should had open the door Xan. Should had open the door,” I said before getting out the car.

I dragged my feet up the stairs to the front door. Even though it was 11pm, it seem like everyone was up.
Coming inside I saw Dice coming down the stairs.

Immediately he froze in his place.
“Valen. I can explain.”

Turning around I notice David, Lisa, and Xan haven’t came up to the porch so I took it upon myself to chat with Dice in private. Going inside his chamber, I notice how suspiciously clean his room was.
Dice shut the door behind him and tried to lock it.

“Nope. Keep it unlock. Might need reinforcement,” I said.
Giving in Dice unlock the door.
“So Asia and Alanna got caught,” Dice said as his tucked his hands into his pant pockets.
“With your needles?”
“How do you know they are mines?” Dice questioned.
“Leo said they were,” I said.

Dice shrugged his shoulders.
“You believe Leo? He’s a known cheater and hypocrite. All he does is sneak around. He doesn’t even come to dance practice half the time cause he now identifies as an actor first. Not a musician.”

“Well are the needles yours?”

Dice got very silent.
“No.”
“No?”
“I’m sober.”

I stood up and went to examine Dice’s room. It wasn’t long before I notice an empty broken needle snag behind his bed frame.
Immediately Dice knew that I saw it.

“Valen. Don’t send me back.”
“You need help Dice.”
“It was just one time,” Dice pleaded.

“You need help. Plus there is a rumor spreading about you and Rebecca secret affairs.”

Opening his door, Dice urged me to follow him.
It wasn’t long before we ended up in Rebecca room that she was sharing with Jackie at the time.

“Rebecca…” Dice said softly as he knock on her door.
Cracking it open, Rebecca was confuse by my summon.
“Am I in trouble?”
“Are we having an affair?” Dice said as he winked his eye at her. Dumb me didn’t notice.
“Uh. No. Who said that we were having an affair?” Rebecca asked.
“You tell me. Valen said it is a rumor going around the house. Me and you sleeping around?”
“Well legend has it that I am a virgin so Valen you have nothing to worry about,” Rebecca smiled.

Taking Dice by the arm, I took him back to his room.
Grabbing a grocery bag that I found on the floor, I grab the broken needle.

“If I catch you with this, you are going to rehab.”

Leaving the room, Dice went ahead and lock the door. His eyes began to wander as his heart rate started to increase.
It wasn’t long before Rebecca came knocking on his door.
“Open up Dice,” Rebecca requested.

Not giving a care in the world, Dice unlock the door once more.

Coming inside his room, Rebecca folded her arms.
“Are we having an affair? Really Dice?”
“I needed to be bailed out of jail. Plus Valen brought up the rumor not me,” Dice said going into his closet. There he found an old shoebox, hidden on the top shelf.

“We cuddle once. That was only because of the incident that happen between Cameron and my brother at the beginning of the year. Seeing all the cuts on him… No matter how much he doesn’t like claiming me as his sister, I don’t want to see him hurt like that. Anyways how could people still be talking about it?”

“We would make a good couple,” Dice smirk as he put the shoebox on his bed. At that very moment Dice blacked out.
Rebecca became very disturb as she watch Dice tie a shoelace around his forearm.

“What are you doing?”
Dice ignore her as he pulled out a needle.

Rebecca proceeded to slowly approach him. Standing on her tippy toes she notice that he had at least 20 needles stack on each other in the shoebox.
“Dice you seriously should be -”

Dice immediately stabbed himself with the needle, causing him to fall to the ground.
Rebecca quickly came to Dice side, freaking out.
Dice’s vines started to pop as he started to cry in pain.

“Mama help me! Help me mama,” Dice cried.
Rebecca tried to grab the needle from Dice hand but he was holding on to it so tightly.
“Let go Dice. Let go.”
“No!”
“Let go!”

Dice pushed Rebecca away, causing her to scratch her arm against his bed frame. Quickly she ran out his room to the Leader’s Office.

“David, Lisa, Xan, Valen. It’s Dice.”

Dropping everything we had, we rush upstairs to Dice’s room. We heard lots of thumping on the ground. Coming round his bed, we saw Dice’s mouth start to foam.

“Oh no. CALL 911!” Xan yelled.
Lisa grab her phone and dial it up.
Dropping to the floor, I turned Dice to the side and notice he was holding onto the needle that he inject himself with.
After some struggling I got Dice to let go while David move everything away from Dice’s body.

[911 what is your emergency?]

“My friend, he’s- he’s overdosing,” Lisa said trying to not tear up.

Lisa’s heart dropped when she heard how long it was going to take for the ambulance to get to the house. The hospital would had used a helicopter but it was in the shop for maintenance.

“It’s going to be a 25 minute wait,” Lisa said.
“25 minute? We don’t got 25 minutes!” David said.
“What do we do?!?” Xan cried.
“I’m going to need you to think Xan. Think!” I said.

Xan took his glasses off and started pacing back and forth. Suddenly a thought [from the Holy Spirit] came to him [by God’s grace].

“Hold his head Valen,” Xan said putting his glasses back on. In fight or flight mode, Xan ran downstairs to the intercom that was located by the kitchen.

“Code Red. Everyone to the living room now!”

The whole house came down immediately.
“What’s wrong?” Toran asked.

Xan took off his glasses once again to blind himself from everyone’s reaction.
“Dice is upstairs overdosing-”

Toran dropped everything from his hands and ran upstairs to his brother side. Meanwhile everyone else became very emotional.
“Leaders Line is helping him stay afloat as the ambulance travel here. We should probably all hold hands and pray that he will be okay,” Xan said.

Forming an irregular shaped circle, everyone started praying hard. Praying like never before. Just as what they learn in church.

“We prayed so hard for Dice that night,” Xan said to the interviewer.
Suddenly he became very emotional.

Continuing on, “I witness all kinds of tragedies in Switch. However this was horrible because I wasn’t mentally prepare to react to an overdose. Jesus really came through that day. It was a miracle that Dice survived from his suicide attempt. I think everyone treated Dice’s drug addiction as a very passive thing. By looking at him you couldn’t tell he was an addict. After that day we created the Ban List. A long list of things that were ban in the house. No excuses. This include alcohol and drugs.”

In Dice recap of this archive he told the interviewer, “I did it because I was so tired of putting up a front. It felt like my whole bloodline were addicts. I felt like I need to fit the mold despite being in Switch. I had so many voices telling me I needed to leave this planet. Though sometimes I wish Rebecca wasn’t the one to find me overdosing. I wish I didn’t try to commit suicide in front of her.”

Everyone in the studio shifted their undivided attention to Dice.

“Please elaborate.”

Dice looked up to the ceiling and shed a small tear.
“Oh Jesus help me. I never told anyone this but I feel like it must be said as the Holy Spirit saying, ‘now is the time to set free’ from this… thing. Um.”

Dice’s foot began to tap refusely as he let out a chuckle.
“Well sir, when I woke up in the hospital, I found out that Rebecca was the whistleblower. She the one who alerted everyone about my overdose. She saved my life. Well Jesus saved my life, but at the time I saw it as Rebecca saving my life.”

Dice paused once more before continuing, “For the next couple of years, I developed an unhealthy attachment to Rebecca. I became addicted to pornography and sex because of it. I have a deep love for Rebecca, but during that time my lust ran deeper for her. I went from a drug addict to being addicted to sexual immorality. A sin I knew about but refuse to confess to the Lord. I didn’t want to let it go. I was scare to let it go.”

“How does it feel to confess that,” asked the interviewer.
“Freeing. I feel free. As if a burden lifted off my shoulders.”
